ZAAR

ZAAR er et soloprojekt af den aarhusianske loopartist Sara Flindt. Med hendes to bandkolleger, skaber ZAAR en majestætisk og eksperimenterende lyd, så man ikke skulle tro var muligt at skabe som trio.

ZAARs univers indeholder både aggressive beats og synthflader, mens den samtidig rører lytteren med smukke og skrøbelige intense øjeblikke.

De debuterede i 2017 med en dobbelt singlerelease af ’Last Song’ og ’Foolish Ways’, og sidste sommer indspillede ZAAR deres debut EP ’Lost My Sense of Humor’ i Norge, som forventes udgivet i 2020.

Bandet består, udover Sara, af Bjarke Amdrup (Kr4n) og Jonathan Ludvigsen (Athletic Progression).

ENGLISH VERSION

ZAAR is the solo-project by Sara Flindt, loopartist from Aarhus, Denmark. With her 2 bandmates, ZAAR creates a majestic and experimental sound that you wouldn’t believe is maneuvered by a trio. ZAAR’s versatile universe both contains aggressive beats and synth lines while touching the listener with beautiful and vulnerable moments of great intensity.

The band consists of Bjarke Amdrup (Kr4n) and Jonathan Ludvigsen ( Athletic Progression).

ZAAR debuted with a double single release of “Last Song” and “Foolish Ways” in 2017 which has been described as “minimalistic, daring, liberating and frightening” by danish music blog Bands of Tomorrow. Last summer, ZAAR recorded what has become the debut EP ‘Lost My Sense of Humour’ in Ocean Sound Recordings in Norway, that is to be released 2020. The 1st of November the single “For a While” was released. Additionally, ZAAR has released two live sessions “Holding Your Hand” and “You Don’t Know” and played at festivals such as Spot Festival, G! Festival in Faroe Islands, the Rockwood Music Hall in New York and Iceland Airwaves in 2018.

EmmaDops popmusik lyder som bølgerne, der skyller ind over en "plastic beach", hvor der bliver lavet "plastic beats", under den lette lyserøde aftensol.

EmmaDop afsøger et blinkende univers' hemmeligheder, mens de drømmer om teenagelykke, farvet LED-lys og duften af bål om natten.

EmmaDop har spillet både SPOT og UHØRT Festival, og blev i sommers breaket på Barometeret på P3 med sangen 'What We May Love', der blev præsenteret med følgende ord af værten Stine Rosenfeldt: "Den er fuld af svævende synthesizere der luner din krop(...) og for hvert skridt du tager, vokser der sig små blomster op, som vokser sig store rundt om ørerne på dig."
