ALF X RADAR Residency
I samarbejde med Radar og Strøm ønsker Aarhus Lydforening at udveksle viden, fremme et bæredygtigt miljø, forbinde forskellige generationer og udvikle det elektroniske musikmiljø i Aarhus og på tværs af Danmark.
Under et tre ugers residency på Radar bliver der udforsket rumlig musik, multikanalslyd og båndmaskiner. (FOR ENGLISH SCROLL DOWN)
Panopticoncert Revisited
Det er 50 år siden, Gunner Møller Pedersen turnerede Danmark rundt med en lastbil fuld af udstyr for at opføre sin banebrydende, rumlige musik. Denne juni vender han tilbage til sin hjemby Aarhus for at dele sine erfaringer og igen opføre værket Panopticoncert. Gunner betragtes som en pioner inden for dansk elektronisk musik, og ved denne begivenhed vil han dele indsigter fra sine 60 år i feltet.
Koncerten efterfølges af en intuitiv og legende workshop, åben for alle niveauer, hvor deltagerne får mulighed for at arbejde direkte med de båndmaskiner, der blev brugt i koncerten. Disse to dage byder på unikke muligheder for rumlig lytning og vidensdeling.
Workshop
Workshoppen vil fokusere på praktisk eksperimentering med båndmaskiner – f.eks. at flytte dem for at ændre delay-tider og manipulere båndet i hånden for at skabe lydeffekter.
Efter workshoppen vil der være adgang til et multikanals setup til fri udforskning! Kunstnere vil kunne booke tid til at arbejde med et system med 16 højttalere, hvilket muliggør dybdegående øvelse og kreativ eksperimentering.
Vi vil desuden afholde et kunstnermøde, en branche-samling, en udendørs fællesspisning for det elektroniske musikmiljø og yderligere koncerter.

In collaboration with Radar and Strøm, Aarhus Lydforening aims to exchange knowledge, promote a sustainable environment, connect different generations and develop the electronic music community in Aarhus and across Denmark.
During a three-week residency at Radar, we will explore spatial music, multichannel audio, and tape machines.
Panopticoncert Revisited
It’s been 50 years since Gunner Møller Pedersen toured Denmark with a truckload of gear to perform his groundbreaking spatial music. This June, he returns to his hometown of Aarhus to share his experiences and once again perform his piece Panopticoncert. Gunner is regarded as a pioneer of Danish electronic music. At this event, he will offer insights from his 60 years in the field.
The concert will be followed by an intuitive and playful workshop, open to all skill levels, where participants will engage directly with the tape machines used in the performance. These two days provide unique opportunities for spatial listening and knowledge sharing.
Workshop
The workshop will focus on hands-on experimentation with tape machines — moving them to alter delay times and manipulating the tape by hand to create audio effects.
Following the workshop, we’ll have a multichannel setup available for exploration! Artists will be able to book time to work with a system using 16 speakers, allowing for in-depth rehearsal and creative exploration.
We will also host an artist meetup, an industry gathering, a field lunch for the electronic music community, and additional concerts.
